Regular eating lets the ?prehistoric? brain

Regular eating lets the ?prehistoric? brain relax in the knowledge that food is plentiful. (One of the effects of strict dieting and irregular meals is that the brain thinks it is experiencing famine; metabolism slows and body fat is conserved and stored). Plan for 3 small meals and 2-3 small snacks each day, this will keep the metabolism running smoothly and efficiently. Energy often dips mid-morning and mid-afternoon, so plan ahead to make sure that you have healthy snacks sourced for these times. You may find it helpful to draw up a chart and record your meals and snacks; helping establish the habit.

The last carry

The last carry falls off the end.

So we get:-

0000 0110

(6 Decimal – 9-3=6)

Which, fortunately, if you followed it, is the right answer! Are these computers smart or what? This system works with negative results as well, for instance try 3-9. You should end up with the twos complement of 6. This is not a compulsory exercise!

*

The carry from the most significant bit, in this example bit 7, but could be bit 31 or 63 in some computers, is ignored in this case. However it is used in some functions, for instance a circular bit shift, which we will look at in a later article.

For home sellers in the Southwest or in South Florida the heat is on. According to a monthly review of Multiple Listing Services in 26 major U.S. markets conducted by the national online real estate brokerage ZipRealty ( www.ziprealty.com ) (NASDAQ: ZIPR) in March, more than 50 percent of MLS listings in Phoenix had at least one price reduction.

A HANDYMAN planted child porn on a school caretaker’s computer to get him sacked, the Old Bailey heard yesterday.

Neil Weiner did not like Eddie Thompson and hoped he would get promoted if he was fired, jurors were told.

Weiner is alleged to have anonymously sent police a CD containing 177 indecent images of children, saying they had come from Mr Thompson’s laptop.

Police later found another 235 pictures on the computer, but there was no evidence they had been downloaded from the internet, said Richard Milne, prosecuting

Protecode Launches System 4

Protecode Launches System 4

Market Wire, July, 2010

Protecode, Inc., a solution provider for managing open source software licenses, today announced Protecode System 4, the latest refinement of a suite of capabilities that enables all sizes of enterprise businesses — small, medium and large — to efficiently and cost-effectively identify open source content in their source code and determine their licensing obligations. System 4 installs as a simple overlay on existing design, development and testing environments without changing any existing workflows.

The core of System 4 is the Protecode open source reference database that matches source code against a comprehensive list of 450,000 open source software projects. Using a modular architecture to enable a wide variety of deployment possibilities, System 4 comprises a set of lightweight clients installed throughout an organization with minimal overhead on IT infrastructure and technical staff. System 4 can be easily customized for individual company divisions, product lines, or geographic offices with this architecture, including centralized or project-level user group, role, permission and license policy administration.

“Despite the increased use of open source and other third-party software, Protecode is among only a few vendors capable of analyzing code through its use of source code signature databases,” said Jay Lyman, enterprise software analyst with The 451 Group. “Software such as Protecode’s System 4 can enable enterprises to adopt and use open source software more effectively and safely.”

“In the last year some big names have been involved in legal cases because they overlooked their open source license obligations. We developed Protecode System 4 to prevent that sort of problem,” said Mahshad Koohgoli, CEO, Protecode. “Now organizations can scan all incoming source code and outgoing software products to make sure their licensing view is up-to-date and their legal obligations are being managed.”

Protecode System 4 delivers substantial improvements in three key areas: scalability, a new user interface and improved data relevance. Enterprise users can now instantiate multiple virtual instances of Protecode System 4 enabling different groups within an organization to set up their own open source management systems with specific roles and intellectual property policies. System 4 offers a completely revised web UI that delivers streamlined download, installation, and configuration as well as substantially improved navigation of software components and corresponding license obligations for greater ease of use and efficiency.

Additionally, Protecode System 4 provides multiple dimensions of analysis targeted to business, technology and legal domains. Aside from generating a comprehensive software inventory report, the system fully cross-references all licensing and copyright attributes to illuminate the full set of licensing obligations the enterprise is legally responsible for and includes significant algorithm advances to ensure highly accurate identification of open source code.

Protecode System 4 is available now.

Before vaccinating them,

Before vaccinating them, they will do a blood test to insure that the does not already have Feline Leukemia or Feline Infectius Peritonitis. These tests don?t take long to be done, likely only minutes. The first vaccine to be received will likely be Feline Leukemia and FIP vaccines. Cats that never leave their home may not need these vaccines.

But, all cats are likely to receive FVRCPC vaccine even if he never leaves home. This vaccine is actually a combination of several vaccines. FVRCPC protects kittens from rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleudopenia and chlamydia.

Some car wash

Some car wash soaps are really pricey, but I always buy whatever?s cheapest. Apply soapy car wash with a sponge or rag, scrubbing as you go. Start at the top and work your way down. Stick to one area at a time. Rinse suds before they dry, then towel dry with a soft cloth or chamois to prevent spotting.

- After you?ve washed your car, polish the chrome. First, remove rust gently with a steel wool pad. Dab a wet sponge in baking soda and rub onto chrome. Let it stand 20 minutes, then rinse and buff dry with a rag. You?ll be amazed at how fabulous it looks!

- Baking soda also works wonders on removing splatters and grime from windshield, headlights, chrome and enamel using the same method as above.

- Keep plastic grocery bags in your car for trash, empty weekly or as needed.

- No car is complete without a container of baby wipes. Every Mom knows what miracle workers these things are.

Living today is not enough, make

Living today is not enough, make it a wonderful day for you.

In order to make your today a wonderful day, get up from the bed early in the morning. While brushing your teeth, brush away the unfounded fears about today. Look in the mirror and say: ?It?s a wonderful day?.

Go for a morning walk. Look what you were missing in your life. The chattering of birds, the smile of flowers and the (good) morning breeze gently touching your body. What a wonderful day!

After oxygenating your body in the open air, sit down crossed legs on the floor in a quiet place and go into deep meditation for 20-30 minutes with your eyes closed. Now open the window of your imagination and see with your ?inner eyes? a giant YOU (a very energetic, fearless and confident person).

It cannot adapt because there’s nothing to

It cannot adapt because there’s nothing to adapt to.

Here’s a little test:

1- Go to your gym

2- Pick a person out you see often

3- Observe them for as long as possible

4- Do they look different? (Can you see changes)

5- Are they doing the same things over and over?

(I see people at my gym that I know their routine. They do the same things every time I see them without fail. They look the same since they joined over 5 years ago).

Do you qualify as one of these people?

Don’t worry, it’s easy to avoid this if you simply follow this single tip:

* Learn as many exercise variations as you possibly can *

Why is this so important? Because if you know 300 ways to workout your legs, you will never have to repeat a workout and you will never adapt.

The landmark immigration case

The landmark immigration case Sarbah vs. Home Office (1985) was the first to use DNA testing to prove a mother-son relationship between Christiana Sarbah and her son Andrew.

The case started in 1983 when Andrew, then 13, arrived in England after a long stay in Ghana with Christiana’s estranged husband. Immigration officials held him at Heathrow Airport, claiming his passport was forged, or that a substitution had been made. Only after intervention by a local MP was Andrew allowed to stay at his family’s home in London.

Various genetic-determining tests showed that Christiana and Andrew were almost certainly related however, it was impossible to determine whether Christiana was his mother or merely an aunt (Christiana has several sisters in Ghana). The photographic evidence and depositions were rejected at an immigration hearing, but deportation was delayed pending an appeal.

Around the same time, an article in The Guardian reported the discovery of DNA fingerprinting by Prof. Alec Jeffreys and his team at the University of Leicester.
